Host Master’s and PhD scholars from Indonesia

UK universities are invited to submit an expression be become a host institution for postgraduate scholarship scheme funded by Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG).  

BMKG is the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency of Indonesia, a non-departmental government body. It has over two thousand staff across 185 offices and weather observation stations. Its mission is to co-ordinate, observe, collect, and provide reliable data on atmospheric, climate, and geophysics phenomenon, as well as to foster collaboration with international partners. BMKG is a member of World Meteorological Organisation. 

Eligibility: This opportunity is open to UK universities.

Level of funding: The scheme will provide full scholarships for BMKG staff and scientists/researchers to study master and PhD at overseas universities. There are 500 scholarships available between 2023 and 2030.

  • 14 May 2024: deadline to register for information session
  • 28 May 2024: deadline for submissions of expressions of interest
