The British Council is seeking an experienced training partner to deliver training to international partners within Indian state higher education institutions.
The training will focus on building capacity to strengthen international strategy and planning, supporting future international cooperation and internationalisation, in line with the country’s National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Course content, training modules and resources will be provided to the selected delivery partner.
Eligibility: The selected delivery partner should demonstrate:
- a sound understanding of the Indian higher education landscape, work done by the Indian regulatory bodies, NEP 2020 and the Indian government’s internationalisation agenda linked to this
- an understanding of the different working styles of state, private and public universities in India
- experience and expertise in similar work in South Asia, including developing and delivering internationalisation training and identifying the training needs of various stakeholders
- expertise in developing the systemic capabilities of higher education institutions concerning internationalisation, including experience in developing capacity-building programmes for institutions to become internationalised in terms of their systems and processes that can be adapted to address the needs of Indian institutions that aspire to become internationally comparable
- an understanding of the monitoring, evaluation and learning framework within universities
- connections with external bodies working in similar areas will be an asset
